Card of the Day - Intercept Wave

Card name: Intercept Wave

Most Synchro Monsters serve 1 important purpose: "Turn the tables around!". With high attack points or defense points, ridiculous effects, and easy summoning conditions, Synchros are very difficult to deal with during a duel. Luckily, its not true when it comes to Spells and Traps.


INTERCEPT WAVE is a handy little Quickplay Spell card, introduced in The Shining Darkness, that can neutralize every single synchro on the field. When it comes to attacking, this spell can instantly switch all synchros to defense position with an added twist. During the End Phase, all synchros get bounced back to the Extra Deck, preventing its user(s) to summon them once more with Spells/Traps.


Because the spell "Returns all Synchro Monsters back to the Extra Deck," it is immune to any effects that involve destruction like Destruction Jammer, My Body As A Shield, etc. And since its a Quickplay Spell card, it is way more flexible than traps - meaning it can be used in many more situations without setting it.
